So nice F-18. Awesome details and construction. Just a little complain: why do jou make a "marble" and weathering work in missiles? They supposed to be almost brand new and are storaged in very well condition away from the enviromental influence. Congrats!!!
Such an enjoyable assembly to follow! Thank you
What does P.E. stand for?
hi,P.E means "photo etched" parts, which used to detail up..😊
Nice ❤
thank tou!!😊
Beautiful build
thank tou!!😊
I really admire the weathering technique! How tall is this figure? I have the Plamax Strike Dog and would like to see how well it scales. Thank you!
thank you! this ia a 1/24 scale model and about 18 cm tall..😊 Plamax Strike Dog is also 1/24 scale.I got one of that too.which is just slightly larger than scopedog...the Plamax Strike Dog is a great model!!👍
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA Mr. Lin, I do not merely “like” your video, I admire you for your overall excellence and your deeply patient techniques in carefully layering paint for subtle effects, expertly illustrating the weathering under the hot sun of the south Pacific, and the wear of years of combat conditions. I wish I could nominate you for an award and a generous prize! As I have suggested to other modellers of the Tamiya 1:48th-scale kit of the Mitsubishi Ki-46 Imperial Japanese Army Type 100 twin-engine command reconnaissance aircraft, Allied brevity code name “Dinah,” perhaps you next might create an airborne diorama dramatising the USMC aviator Lt. “Bob” Klingman on high-altitude patrol in his Chance Vought F4U-1D Corsair Fighter-Tamiya also offers the perfect kit for that part of the job!-in the struggle to intercept at very high altitude a Ki-46 IJA scout aircraft. Because all six of the bent-winged warbird’s M2 Browning .50-caliber machine guns had frozen for the bitterly cold air at nearly 10,000 metres, he resorted to using just the propeller of his hardy aircraft to buzz-saw off the rudder of his dodgy foe, abruptly sending the nosy sod out of control, to fall into the roiling sea immediately off the coast of his island base (sources: “Marine Corps pilot Robert ‘Bob’ Klingman took down enemy using his propeller”, By Team Mighty [We Are The Mighty, Military News posted Wednesday, 8 February, 2023, 7:16 a.m. PST]; Wikipedia: Mitsubishi Ki-46 IJA Type 100 twin-engine scout aircraft).
Thank you for your appreciation and information😊 I've heard these amazing stories..and I will definitely make a model of the F-4U Corsair in the future.
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA Please combine the two kits in an airborne diorama as I previously had described, dramatising an astounding event in aerial combat! Such a venture would require one of your exemplary skill to show the rest of us how to proceed.
Magnificent
thank tou!!😊
Thanks for sharing the excellent modeling skills. In the original Tamiya kit, the D8 and D19 are the parts of instrument panel. In this video, you don't use the two parts. How do you modify the instrument panel? Or do you just replace the D8 and D19 by other vendor's customized kit simply?
hi,I use the D8 and D19 part of the kit, cut one instrument panel off and modify the other one to a simple round shape..
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Got it. Thanks.
Did you put a clear coat on the paint before weathering?
no,after weathering..🙂
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING one more question. where did you get those aftermarket lenses?
hi,it's from WAVE "h eye",very good products
Hi! Great video. I just ordered my first model from REVELL and it is plazer III from world of tanks. Maybe some day i will be good as you! Subscribed❤❤❤
thank you!! the panzer III is one of my favorite German tank in WW2... just have fun with it!!😊
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Yea, i will!
As a Votoms fan, I love to see this kind of content.
thank you!! 😊
Stunning work.
thank you!! 😊
Ive never tried this method of pre-shading, usually I prime it all in grey and use dark around the corners, but the result here is great. I will try to get a Scopedog and follow along the video, thank you
thank you!! wish my video is useful...😊
Great looking Rhino! You have the weathering dowm pat! And not to be a downer but on the starboard side your aircraft designator (the Letters) are upside down, it should have the N on top, or NH. Port side is correct. Again magnificant work!
thank you ,didn't notice that..😅
Working on the same kit now. What airbrush are you using?
thank you!! I use Mr.hobby ps270 0.2mm and ps289 0.3 mm airbrush
Gorgeous!
thank you!! 😊
Thanks for the heads up! I avoid anything woke like it is a plague....because, you know, it is a plague!
thank you!! 😊
_'Man!'_ ... Sure's some pretty damn-good bloody 'tough-arse'-looking and _'Angriff_-*explosive'*-laden _'Messy-shitt'_ 'mag-dumping'-jobbies, I've ever seen, _by Christ almighty!_ ... 'Hats off' to you! Goddamn-well good job!
thank you!! 😊
what size of engraving did you use? i only have 0,3 scriber
hi, I usually use 0.15.0.2 and 0.3 engraving tool😊
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING i asked around and the answer seems like 1,5 too. is there any parts where you would use different engraving tool size?
hi,first I engraving all panel line with 0.15 scriber which will be helpfor for next process, about the door panel line, I usually use 0.2 mm scriber , in some case, the hood and trunk panel will use 0.2-0.3 mm 🙂
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING alright, planning to grab the same hasegawa 240z too actually, i'll put the different scribers to the shopping cart for now
this kit is easy to build..have fun!!😄
10/10
thank you!! 😊
Just brought this same kit with aftermarket parts as by far one of the best ferrari's ever produced! this is an amazing build! a true artist

Stunning - did the same thing with a (real) Honda CB900F back in the day... Thank you!
thank you!! 😊
Where can i get the decal set
try search "custom model car decal" there are many of them
Your model looks fantastic! ❤❤❤
thank you!! 😊
Superb!
thank you!! 😊
That's an amazing build ! congratz
thank you!! 😊
Great job on a really good kit,!i gotta get on of these,
thank you!! 😊
I think I have enough patience to do this but not enough many
thank you!! 😊
There is nothing more satisfying as removing masking on a car or aircraft model kit and seeing how great it looks
thank you!! 😊
where did you find the tiny rivets? ive looked everywhere and cant find them. amazing job with the model work btw.
thank you,try searching "hobby design" or "top studio" products
Parabéns ficou show. Comprei um modelo desse vou pintar da mesma cor
Excellent. Especially the engine detail. Where did you source some after market parts, for example winvdscreen wipers etc?
thank you,try searching "hobby design" or "top studio" products
Abousoultly perfect in every way! A model to be proud of for years to come. Thanks for sharing this.
thank you!! 😊
It's a beautiful car...so much so that I've started the '67 Chevelle Pro Street. I'm doing something a little different: racing green Tamiya spray for the bodywork, light tan interior and racing white for the seats, should be a good marriage of colors, any suggestions for what color I should do the roll cage?
hi,I think body color will suit for roll cage, just a opinion..., 😀
Fantastic, that 500 looks amazing and very well detailed. Well done
thank you 😊
So good
thank you!! 😊
No engine 🤔
it is pitty this version of 288 gto model doesn't include engine...😔,fujimi got another version which included engine...I can't find it...
Your work is 1st class. Beautiful. Why did you not build and install the engine and turbochargers?
unfortunately..this version of 288 gto model doesn't include engine... Relatively...I'm quite happy...after all, I know nothing about engines and I'm not very interested....
Mr. Lin, I know this video is a couple years old now, but I wanted to give you a big thank you for this video. I built the same kit over the last several weeks and your build video was key in helping me achieve a decent result. I used your same ride height modification approach and your tips were very helpful! Thank you for all you do and sharing your great builds, I really appreciate it every time!
thank you my friend,I am glad my videos is useful 😄
Mipiace modello
I think I might learn how to airbrush, OMG...that finish...
thank you 😊
where did you get the replacement door handles for this model?
hi,the doors handle was scratch build by myself...I build a original model and recast them, they are very useful 😄
Hello, can you tell me where to order such thin wire to press the wires?
hi,try searching web store for hobby models...you will find something useful for you 😄
Very enjoyable video, and nice build Mr. Lin! May I ask what chrome colour you used?
thank you! 😊 the chrome is from finisher's formula chrome,a very nice paint 😊
Really great build congrats! Which brand of clear did you use to seal the work?
thank you!! I use Mr.color GX-114 flat clear,a very nice matt varnish!!🙂
Something a bit different this time, I like it! Outstanding weathering as usual and some great detail upgrades. Thanks for sharing your hard work, it's always a good week when there's a new video from Mr Lin to watch!
Thank you my friend 😊
Very nice build! The paint work and modifications are beautifully done. I have a question if you're able to answer. I was wondering how you made the shoulder armor removable for painting? If I try to pry it off the two connection points the seam will crack. I have the Wave/Takara version, but I believe that part is the same. I noticed there is some white styrene inside the rounded armor so I assume that is part of your modification.
hi,about the modification of the shoulder armor, I shortened the fixed pins on the shoulder (square part) parts, stretched the shoulder armor slightly, and then combined it. the other way is relatively simple.... Cut a gap (about 1/3 of the circle) in the positioning hole inside the shoulder armor for fixing to the shoulder, and then slide the shoulder armor into the shoulder joint. I assembled this kit about 20 years ago.. no documentary footage.. hope my narrative is helpful...
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Thanks so much.. shortening the pin was what I was thinking of doing so it's good to have confirmation that it'll work.
